Earlier this month, Ford unveiled its latest Heritage Edition Ford GT supercar. This is a 2022 Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition. The car was built specifically to pay homage to the 1966 Le Mans race, where Ford led the competition with three first podium finishes.
Ford says its latest version of the car will be produced in very limited numbers and make its first appearance at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. It was shown alongside a 1966 Ford GT40 MK II. The Holman Moody Heritage Edition is painted in a special Holman Moody Gold body paint livery with Heritage Red and Oxford White accents.
The car also has touches of exposed carbon fiber. Like all Ford GTs, this one has a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters, and under the paint, the body is made of carbon fiber. Ford hasn’t said exactly how limited production will be, only saying the Holman Moody Heritage Edition is available to approved Ford GT customers with deliveries starting this spring.
