5 Tips for Surviving the Callisto Protocol

The Callisto protocol is now available on PS4/5, Xbox Series and One, as well as PC (but be patient, the developers are fixing the issues) and we are testing it.

Although we enjoyed the game, the walls of the Black Iron prison are hostile and the game is definitely difficult. Here are 5 tips to make your adventure (a little) easier.

1: Upgrade the baton first

In the prison and on the corpses of monsters, we restore Callisto’s credits, which we use in the 3D printers of the penitentiary building to improve its equipment. We advise you to first upgrade the baton with the ability on the right, which will allow you to cut off the attacker’s hand if he tries to block. And don’t upgrade anything related to the baton, it’s not worth it and it will save you credits for other upgrades.

2: Be patient with dodges

The dodge system is very easy to manage, so don’t get greedy when it’s your turn to attack. Monster Attack Patterns: 1, 2, or 3. Make sure the monster’s attack is over to place yours.

3 – Sell!

Yes, it may seem paradoxical for such a complex game, but the heal is useless. The time it takes to heal is too long to be used in combat. And at the end of the fight, when you trample on monsters, your health will regularly burst.

Thus, it is more interesting to sell syringes for 100 credits each and heal using health extracted from monsters or from cabinets. Except for exceptions, which you will decide on a case-by-case basis, syringes will not be used.

Never use the Riot Gun, which is not very effective in the long run, and sell all the ammo associated with it, this will give you maximum confidence.

Upgrade only the best gear in The Callisto Protocol.

4 – Improve GRP and GUN to max.

Use all that mule saved from selling healing and not upgrading other gear to maximize GRP and GUN. This is very important and it will make the game much easier for you.

5 – Manage GRP and decor

To kill a monster, you don’t have to empty a magazine on it or torture it with a club. Pay attention to the decor, there are often plates with spikes on which you can throw monsters to kill them with one shot. Similarly, you can throw them into the void when the level allows to get rid of them.

With these few tips, your stay in the Black Iron Prison will surely become much more accessible and therefore enjoyable!
