Orange, first of all, announces that it has deployed a 5G network at 3.5 GHz in the capital and promises theoretical maximum speeds up to 3 times faster than with 4G. SFR has also bet on the 3.5 GHz band and indicates that it covers 80% of the intramural population by relying on 80 sites. Bouygues specifies for his part that “more than 3 in 4 Ile-de-France residents will be able to benefit from 5GFrom March 19, without giving exact details on the coverage for the city of Paris. Finally, Free also plans to open the floodgates as indicated by Thomas Reynaud:“I hope we can open 5G in Paris in the next few days, maybe during the weekend”.
