Acer has unveiled a new allinone ChromeOS workstation in the form of the Acer AddInOne 24, which will be available in North America sometime in Q1 2023 starting at $610. You can expect the same system to be available across Europe in March 2023 for €799 ex VAT.
The Acer AddInOne 24 ChromeOS Workstation features a modular design consisting of an Acer Chromebox CXI5 or Chromebox Enterprise CXI5 docked on the back of the company’s 24inch FHD 10CXI580p monitor. “This design allows the Acer Chromebox to be easily swapped out, making it easy to repair and upgrade with minimal downtime for the user,” explains Acer in a press release.
Chrome OS Workstation
“Perfect for office workers and meetings. Its 5MP wideangle 115degree webcam, dual microphones, and dual 4W speakers make highquality video conferencing easy. Multiple AI noise reduction modes suppress background noise for clear audio even in the busiest environments. For added security, the webcam has a builtin camera shutter that helps prevent hackers from unintentionally capturing the image.
The display uses a premium IPS panel with narrow bezels to deliver sharp images from wide angles, useful when working collaboratively at a computer or using multiple applications at the same time. Its thin bezels maximize the viewing area to reduce scrolling, and the monitor can be adjusted from -5 to 25 degrees to select the optimal and preferred viewing position. Additional touch features make navigation smooth and easy, and the display also has an antireflective coating to eliminate glare so you can use it even in bright environments. To prevent tampering by unauthorized personnel, special screws help secure the Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI5 to the back of the docking monitor.”
