Acer Aspire 5 Pro Series: focus on user experience

For several months now, all CIOs have had their eyes riveted on their IT equipment. All of them seek to equip their employees as well as possible, now massively switched to a hybrid working method, made up of face-to-face and home office. The work tool of choice for this new organization is obviously the laptop PC, sales of which have quite simply exploded in 2020. To be able to support professionals in all their uses, the terminal cannot afford any concessions, whether in terms of performance, design or user experience. This is the guideline that led to the creation of the new Acer Aspire 5 Pro.

Performance for all

More than just a traveling companion, the computer has become the primary or sole station for a large number of employees. It must therefore be able to execute without trembling all the applications useful to the performance of their tasks. The Aspire 5 Pro therefore embeds the 11th generation of Intel Core processors, equipped with the Iris Xe chip. With more and more frequent recourse to multiscreen, video streaming or even creative applications, graphics power can no longer be limited to certain user profiles. The GPU will therefore take charge of these increasingly heavy graphics processing. Even the most demanding users can opt for the optional NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. And with up to 24GB of memory and 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD storage, everyone in the business has the resources to work efficiently.

Innovation at the service of UX

Beyond pure performance, it is the user experience that is at the heart of the concerns, while working from home creates new constraints. One of the most sensitive everyday things for users is the difficulty of collaborating comfortably from a distance. As videoconferences multiply, the ability to conduct quality exchanges is becoming a fundamental criterion. The Aspire 5 Pro has two important strengths in its game. The first is the integration of Acer True Harmony speakers. These are equipped with a conical paper membrane and a magnet, which will amplify the volume while reducing distortions for a more realistic sound reproduction of conversations. Another major advantage: the WiFi 6 connection. Far from their company’s wired network, most professionals use a wireless network at home which sometimes struggles to keep pace. Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) provides up to 3x the average network throughput and up to 75% lower latency compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). Finally, let’s mention the “full size” backlit keyboard with an independent numeric keypad, acclaimed by professionals who handle large volumes of data, and the native security offered by the fingerprint sensor.

Just for your eyes

And because professionals will spend long hours in front of their screen, the Aspire 5 Pro has taken particular care in its display, with a Full HD IPS panel without reflection on the one hand, but also thanks to Acer Color Intelligence technology. This will automatically adjust the gamma and saturation of the display in real time in order to optimize the colors while avoiding the phenomena of over-saturation and clipping. And to take full advantage of it, the device displays a screen-to-frame ratio of 81.61%, available on the two potential formats, 15.6 ” and 17.3 ”. Something to capture all the eyes of CIOs.
