Approximately 3,000 professionals will have the opportunity to reunite and discuss over four days from 19 to 22 October. And the program promises to be intense, it’s about making people forget about the three-year absence due to the pandemic.
For those less familiar with Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, it is a non-profit cooperative of independent and international video game developers, creators, educational institutions and related entrepreneurs based in Quebec. A global figurehead in the sector and with 300 members, the Guild is the largest group of its kind in the world.
The general public will be able to discover the world of video games produced in Quebec, while professionals will have the opportunity to network and discuss business matters with publishers from all over the planet.

“MEGAMIGS programs cover topics of interest and reflect La Guilde’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI),” says CEO Jean-Jacques Hermans. Therefore, linked to industry-wide issues, MEGAMIGS will offer conferences such as working with the spectrum, resilience of mothers in the global gaming industry, recovery from problems at work, women and games in IT. Encouraging such spaces for exchange, openness and learning is part of the Guild’s mission by supporting promising initiatives, the leader continues. She will present a new award for excellence at DEI to an independent studio that has distinguished itself through its internal practices and processes. »
The event is expected to feature at least 80 major global and national brands such as ed Barrels, SandBox Games, EA Motive, Ubisoft, WB Games, Timi Studio Group, Beenox and Triple Boris.
Among them, eyes will be on Gearbox and its acclaimed New Tales from the Borderlands, which will be released in full on MEGAMIGS on October 21st.
And, as with recent editions of MEGAMIGS, prizes will be awarded to local studios and creators in categories such as best game design, best art direction and production, and best technological innovation.
