Agadir: seizure of two tons of cannabis resin

The Agadir Judicial Police arrested this Saturday, in close coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), seven people between 20 and 57 years old for their alleged links with a criminal network active in international drug trafficking , the illegal immigration and human trafficking organization.

According to the DGSN, three defendants were arrested in Agadir, including the main suspect who was arrested in the Iligh area, on the basis of a national search notice for international drug trafficking. In coordination on the ground with elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, a fourth suspect was arrested in the Taghazout area, about 30 km north of Agadir. The search operations carried out in a home operated by the suspects in Taghazout allowed the arrest of three candidates for illegal immigration, in addition to the seizure of 64 bales of chira destined for international traffic. The drugs represent a total weight of two tons. During the searches, the security services also seized an inflatable boat, a quantity of fuel, as well as maritime navigation and logistics equipment, specifies the DGSN.
