Against vaccination in the hospital: some employees of the CHU of Poitiers ready to lose their jobs

At the CHU sites in Poitiers (the Hospital Center and the other 4 sites that depend on it) 97% of the 9,150 employees would be vaccinated with the two doses, announces the management. For others, it is mandatory to have entered a vaccination schedule. Simply put, it is at least one dose and a negative test while waiting for the second injection. This tolerance extends until mid-October. Today there are between 300 and 400 people who have not yet submitted proof of their vaccination schedule. All personnel must comply with it: doctors, interns, nurses, administrators, technicians, etc.)

I mourn my work

However, some say they oppose this obligation and are willing to resist even if they lose their jobs. Example with an administrative employee of the CHU of Poitiers whom we met: “As of today, Wednesday, I can no longer come to work, I cannot come to practice, I no longer have the right to be in contact with my colleagues, patients. Today I do not want to enter a vaccination schedule, I have not received the 1st dose of vaccine, I need to take my time. It is a reflection that I have and everyone should have the option of wanting to be vaccinated or not. “Today the young woman says that she is determined” So it begins with a dismissal, But I don’t see how in the long run they could fire us. I am ready to lose my job anyway, today I am very clearly in mourning for my work. I may have to leave the CHU and even have to reorient myself. ”
