Alan Wake Remaster Coming to Nintendo Switch

Alan Wake fans are unfortunately not getting updates on the sequel right now, but at least there is a new series and an updated version of the original Switch game. Remedy Entertainment creative director Sam Lake revealed some of the details during a video celebrating the game’s 12th anniversary today. Switch owners can expect Alan Wake Remastered to be available on the Nintendo eShop this fall. The remastered original game is available now on PS5, Xbox and PC if you want it.

The original 2010 Alan Wake game has become a cult classic. Remedy and Microsoft Studios also released Alan Wake’s American Nightmare in 2012. Since then, the franchise has mostly been dormant, but things are happening now.

Lake revealed that AMC had bought the rights to the Alan Wake franchise and would be adapting it into a real series. “We collaborated on a TV show. At the moment there is nothing more to share, but we will definitely let you know when there is something to announce, ”said Lake.

Alan Wake 2, which many expected to preview soon, is in development. However, Lake confirmed that the studio would not be releasing any more updates on the matter. However, we do have some stills from the upcoming sequel. The game is scheduled for release in 2023 for PS5 and other platforms.

“All [with Alan Wake 2] goes really well and most of the game is playable,” Lake said. “But we’ve been talking for the last couple of months and we’ve come to the decision that we won’t be showing anything big this summer,” Lake said. At least we know it will happen.
