Alphabet invests $1.506 trillion in blockchain companies

TeaAccording to a recent report from blockchain analysis firm Alphabet, the company that owns Google invested the most in crypto companies from September 2021 to June 2022.. Alphabet becomes the leading institutional investor in the digital currency industry.

Alphabet, which has frequently invested in blockchain and crypto projects in the past, and last year invested more than $1.5 billion in 4 blockchain and crypto companies: Fireblocks, Dapper Labs, Voltage and Digital Currency Group.

After Google, the most invested company was BlackRock, in which 1.17 million dollars were invested and 3 companies: Circle, FTX and Anchorage Digital. Samsung, on the other hand, according to the report, will be the company that has invested in the most projects: a total of 13, in which it has invested $969 million. The report collected data from September 2021 to mid-June 2022. During this period, 40 companies have invested in blockchain/crypto companies. After the German company, UOB is the most active with 7 investments, followed by Citigroup with 6 and Goldman Sachs with 5.
