Amazon Drive file storage service crashes – Geeko

Amazon Cloud Drive is a cloud storage service from Amazon. It was born in 2011 and will be completed at the end of next year.

Like OneDrive, DropBox or Google Drive, Amazon’s cloud service’s mission is to offer its users easy access to a storage interface for their photos and files. In addition, the interface is very similar to that of other file storage services.

Free 5GB storage is offered, while various paid plans allow Prime members to enjoy unlimited storage space. So, this is Amazon’s cloud storage service. “Cloud storage is a cloud computing model where data is stored online through a cloud provider that manages data storage as a service,” defines Amazon AWS.

But Amazon Drive is doomed. In an email, the e-commerce giant informed its customers that it will be ending the service in December 2023. Therefore, it will be necessary to restore all its files saved before this deadline, and users will not be able to store them again from January 2023. The app will no longer be available for download next October. Amazon Photos is still available for storing photos and videos.
