App Store: Apple announces price increase for apps in Europe –

While Apple has raised the prices of its iPhone 14s in Europe, now it’s the turn of apps to go up in price. The announcement was made in a blog posted on the Apple website and addressed to developers. It is stated that the increase will come into force on October 5, 2022. In addition to Europe, tariffs will also increase “in Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam and all territories using the euro.”

No more apps for less than one euro

This price increase applies to both in-app purchases and in-app purchases on the App Store. However, auto-renewing subscriptions will be retained. Apple leaves developers free to raise or maintain current prices.

With this increase, it will no longer be possible to purchase apps for less than one euro on the App Store. From October 5, the minimum price will increase to 1.19 euros..
