We recently learned that the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 will ship with a proprietary display, most likely a microLED display.
This was reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in his weekly newsletter. He said that Apple also plans to use these displays in the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Get ready for the first Apple microLED displays next year. After about six years of development, Apple is nearing the launch of perhaps one of its most impressive innovations: its own screens.
This marks a key turning point in her efforts to develop more consumables inhouse. For most of the decade, these efforts have been in the back end. We’ll talk about what you can see shortly.
The screens will come first in the Apple Watch Ultra update, which is currently scheduled for late 2024. I expect that in a few years they will appear on the iPhone and maybe one day on the iPad and Mac. .
The new Apple Watch Ultra 2 will apparently be released in 2024, and we suspect it will arrive alongside the new Apple iPhone 16 line, which is expected to go official in September 2024.
Apple is gradually switching from thirdparty components to inhouse developed components in its devices. This gives the company more control over its devices and their production, and helps increase profits.
