Arduino Nano Screw Terminal Adapter

The official team of developers and engineers behind the Arduino line of microcontrollers and boards this week unveiled a new Nano Screw terminal adapter to help you speed up your prototyping process. A handy little addon board is now available from the official Arduino store for $36 for a pack of three boards.

  • Fast and secure connection:
Screw connectors ideal for solderless and secure connections for your next IoT project.
  • Onsite prototyping area:
Prototyping area 8×9 through holes for additional components.
  • Double row of pin connectors:
Leaving a free row on each side of the board, with optional jumper fast connections.
  • Slim contact connectors:
Reduced overall thickness (total thickness including Nano board is less than 15mm)

Arduino Nano Screw Terminal Adapter

“With a project ready, you will most likely be constantly connected to your Nano by soldering it. Even if you connect it with a connector bar, wires, components, sensors and accessories will be soldered, crimped or permanently attached to the controller side of your project. It makes sense to do this when you are looking for a reliable connection. The problem with these permanent connections is that they are… well, permanent! Soldering and desoldering during the design and prototyping phase can become a real chore. And this is not good either for the components or for the board itself. An adapter with screw terminals is what you need. This is something we’ve been asked for a lot, giving people the ability to create reliable, fast, simple connections that can be changed just as easily.”

“The Nano screw terminal adapter has a double row of connectors. The Nano fits in two inner rows, giving you a second, outer set that lets you connect with jumpers, wires, or whatever. You then have a third row of connectors on either side of the adapter with screw terminals for each pin. The ideal way to securely, but easily replace, connect wires or components. It has never been easier to develop and design a project with these connection options. There is even a 9×8 prototyping area with plated through holes for adding additional components, connections or accessories.”
