Many projects are still kept secret from the Xbox Game Studios side. And if we start to discover some – Perfect Dark at The Initiave and Indiana Jones at MachineGames – others are still very mysterious. This is the case for the next title from Arkane Studios Austin. Since Prey in 2017, the teams were particularly discreet about what they are working on. And it’s thanks to the LinkedIn profile of one of the developers that we learn some information about what lies ahead.
Indeed, it is on the page of Lisa Charriere, senior VFX artist within the company for two years and four months, that we discover the universe and the engine that will probably be used for the studio’s next project.
Thus, she explicitly mentions in her description that she is currently working on a title not yet announced, in the Fantasy universe and developed under Unreal Engine 4. Interesting data, which however, does not give any real indication of the progress of the project. It’s funny how over the past few years, job postings and LinkedIn profiles have become real sources of information. For example, we learned a few weeks ago that Crytek was working on an AAA sandbox FPS or that InXile was developing a first-person RPG.
Either way, it’s highly likely that Arkane Studios Austin’s next production will be unveiled this year, given the silence the team has shown since 2017. Wait & See.
