Aston Martin and Brough Superior have unveiled the new Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro track superbike.
The new Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro track superbike has 25% more power, up to 225 hp, compared to the previous model.
A successor to the soldout AMB 001, offered in a single Pro specification, was inspired by Aston Martin’s Valkyrie AMR Pro racing hypercar with no rules. Like its inspiration, the AMB 001 Pro pushes track performance to the limit, offering a 25% increase in power over its predecessor, and its 225 hp. provide a powertoweight ratio of 1.28 hp/kg, like a Formula 1® car.
Thierry Henriette, Chief Executive Officer of Brough Superior, said: “We are delighted to present the AMB 001 Pro today at EICMA. The success of its predecessor, coupled with the incredible Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, inspired us to get back together to create a new superbike; one that we know will excite our customers. We are particularly proud of the new type of engine with an allaluminum crankcase, a unique feature of a production motorcycle. With a noticeable increase in power, this brings the AMB 001 Pro into the hyperbike sector.”
Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, said: “It’s a very simple formula. Form plus technology equals performance. When you push something to its limits and do it smoothly, the experience takes your breath away. There is no separation between advanced materials, design and technical capabilities of the bike. We’ve achieved that smoothness again with the Brough Superior for those who dream of superbike racing like no other. The rider is part of this moving sculpture and he will literally feel like he is part of the track when he lies on the AMB 001 Pro.”
The new Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro track superbike will be produced in a limited edition of only 88 models, for more information you can find on the Aston Martin website at the link below.
