ASUS IoT PE3000G Edge AI Supports Mobile PCI Express Module

This week, ASUS IoT introduced the industry’s first AI edge system to support Mobile PCI Express Module (MXM) GPUs from NVIDIA and Intel. Taking the form of the ASUS PE3000G, the compact mini PC features discrete GPU support via the MXM module. ASUS has equipped the PE3000G with a completely new power supply design to accept a wide range of DC input voltages from 8V to 48V, as well as an integrated ignition control system to meet vehicle requirements. Screwlocked I/O for rugged stability and militarygrade MILSTD810H shock and vibration testing make it an ideal choice for AI inference systems in autonomous vehicles, the press release explains.

“PE3000G is ASUS IoT’s answer to the growing demand for accelerated AI inference and extreme industrial deployment,” commented Kuowei Chao, CEO of ASUS IoT Business Unit. “With its robust power, thermal, and mechanical design, it enables versatile AI inference applications in missioncritical business applications. The PE3000G is ideal for accelerating AI edge inference in SWaPlimited applications such as machine vision in factory automation, outdoor surveillance, and AI inference systems for autonomous vehicles.”

“In addition, with Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) support for industrial cameras as well as IP cameras, the PE3000G is ready for a variety of machine vision and video surveillance applications. Physically, the PE3000G features excellent heat dissipation, two dedicated heatsinks, and a patented system design to ensure reliable performance even in harsh environments.”
