RATP is experimenting with autonomous shuttles in suburban and rural areas to connect more than two kilometers of the Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuse (Yvelines) RER station and the parking lot of the neighboring city of Coubertin.

RER, shuttle and private car
In terms of hardware, the Milla Group currently supplies two Milla Pods. They are fully electric and autonomous and can carry four people accompanied by a security operator.
This service operates on weekdays during business hours, from 7:00 to 19:00, depending on bookings made by travelers through a dedicated application. Shuttles can run “on average every four to five minutes,” says RATP. The operator expects to receive about 10,000 travelers at the pilot stage.
The Autonomous Vehicle Command Post (PCVA) in the 12th arrondissement of Paris remotely monitors the experiment, while the cities of Chevreuse and Saint-Remy-lès-Chevreuse directly concerned will be responsible for collecting traveler feedback and sharing data with researchers. institutions and RATP.
This is the second experiment carried out by RATP after the autonomous Vincennes shuttles, which have been operating every weekend since March 2021.
