The two men, aged 27 and 28, appeared before the Bayonne court on Monday, September 5, as part of the immediate appearance procedure. The two were arrested on August 30 in Biarritz on suspicion of involvement in the drug trade. Investigators were able to establish at least three months of transactions from June 1 to August 30.

The younger of the two defendants would supply the other with cocaine and cannabis to supply his clients. 260 grams of white powder and about forty grams of resin and hemp grass were found. Drugs were already in their criminal record. The oldest of them recorded five convictions, including several for drug use and behavior under the influence of drugs. Second strong with 11 convictions, including several for offering and selling products.

In the voice of their lawyers, they asked for a delay in the preparation of their defense, granted by right in this kind of procedure. Faced with the risk of repetition and consultation, the judges decided to keep one of them in custody and place the other under judicial supervision until the date of the next hearing, October 3.
