Bic completes acquisition of AMI (Advanced Magnetic Interaction)

(AOF) – Bic completed the acquisition of AMI (Advanced Magnetic Interaction). Founded in 2014 by Jean-Luc Vallejo, Tristan Houtson and Timothée Jaubert, AMI uses magnetometric technology in an unprecedented way to provide accurate, real-time track tracking without on-board electronics in devices. This technology responds to growing consumer demand for easy-to-use, reliable and secure digital accessories.

The acquisition will strengthen BIC’s R&D capabilities in Digital Expression, one of the pillars of Horizon’s strategic plan, and accelerate the rollout of AMI’s proprietary technology, in particular through the development of B2B activities in digital creation and consumer electronics applications.
