There’s a crypto convention in Miami right now, and it’s gearing up to be the biggest Bitcoin (CCC:BTC-USD) event ever. Bitcoin 2021 is a two-day convention packed to the brim with speakers from across the crypto industry.


The Bitcoin 2021 event could potentially be a gold mine of updates and announcements regarding the most popular digital currency. Thousands of people are there, and several thousand more will be watching online.

Here’s what you need to know before the event:

Bitcoin 2021 is the product of Bitcoin Magazine, a crypto publication co-founded by Ethereum (CCC:ETH-USD) founder Vitalik Buterin. The conference will take place on June 4 and 5. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. Eastern Time and continue into the late afternoon. Bitcoin 2021 was originally scheduled to be in Los Angeles, California. However, the venue for the event has changed to Miami, thanks to a campaign by Mayor Francis Suarez. Suarez wants to make Miami “the cryptocurrency capital of the world”. He was also the main speaker. The conference attracts a crowd of speakers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Libertarian Ron Paul is one of the weekend’s premier speakers. Also speaking were Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter (NYSE:TWTR), Michael Saylor from MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. Boxer Floyd Mayweather will make one of his last public appearances before defeating YouTuber Logan Paul in the ring. In terms of attendance, 12,000 Bitcoin fanatics descend on Miami for the occasion. You don’t have to feel left out if you want to attend but can’t. The organizers are live streaming the main events on the home page of their website. If you watch from a distance, you’ll miss the many other facets of the conference, including sponsor booths, after-parties, the esports arena, and a meeting with Bird Man himself. The excitement over the event has many Twitter users skyrocketing. # Bitcoin2021 is all the rage on the platform as viewers discuss the speakers and events.
