He also sold child pornography on the darknet using bitcoin and was accused of sexually harassing nearly a dozen minors, whom he filmed naked on video chats before threatening them, police said.

He was detained by Spanish police following a report from colleagues in Queensland, Australia.
Detectives revealed his real identity after breaking through his strict security measures.

The footage he obtained by hacking into family security cameras includes footage of children living in the UK, as well as the United States, Canada and Brazil.

The suspect’s age is not yet known, although police say he was known to authorities after he was arrested as a minor for child pornography offenses.

A spokesman for the Spanish National Police confirmed: “He also allegedly sexually harassed at least 11 minors, filmed them naked and sometimes threatened them after accessing video chats.

“He was very active on the dark web and set up a system for selling child pornography based on bitcoins or exchanging images taken by his clients. “

The National Police revealed that the suspect has different usernames on the Internet to post his dirty photos.

“The National Police also discovered that he offered his services as a nanny and, using his British citizenship, worked as a home tutor teaching English.

“This job allows him to have ten students, which heightened the anxiety of the investigators who decided to continue his arrest.

During a search of his home, images of sexual assault were found, along with evidence of the use of cryptocurrency and money transfers to Romania by people involved in child pornography.

Police said that he not only set up a system to trade bitcoin or sell images of child pornography, but also charged a commission for mediation between producers and consumers.

A police spokesman said: “The home security cameras he hacked are designed to allow parents to watch their children when they are not at home and can be accessed through mobile phones.

“If they are not configured properly, they are very vulnerable.

“It was also discovered that in at least one case, a suspect obtained footage of the underwear of children he privately taught and took it off without their knowledge. “

“He is currently in pre-trial detention after appearing in court, as the investigation against him continues. “
