Building game Cities: Skylines announces sequel this year

Video game publisher Paradox Interactive has confirmed a 2023 release of Cities: Skylines 2, the sequel to its popular city-building and management game.

Fans will have to wait eight years, almost to the day. During its Paradox Announcement Show 2023 event, the video game publisher put an end to rumors by confirming the upcoming release of Cities: Skylines 2. Currently there is no image in the game

Unfortunately, players will regret that the video announcement is completely cinematic, without showing the in-game image. The only real information, the title, developed by the Colossal Order studio (already working on the first part), is expected this year.

In its eight years of existence, Cities: Skylines has added a lot of additional content. To date, 50 DLCs are available for the game and new buildings, new features or new maps are being added to create a city in the middle of the desert as well as in the middle of a tropical bay.

During its event, game publisher Paradox Interactive also showcased the Tours and Tournaments expansion for its medieval strategy game Crusader Kings III. There was also talk of a new turn-based strategy game, The Lamplighters League, and a Domination expansion for the strategy game Europa Universalis IV.
