Game news Call of Duty Warzone: The killer door fixed, the nerfed MG 82
On Monday we told you about a somewhat strange problem that appeared in Call of Duty Warzone. Indeed, a door, located in a shed of the salt mine, killed players who got too close to it. Raven Software immediately addressed the problem, and deployed a corrective patch.
This famous barricaded door that killed players was quickly reported by players, and should therefore no longer cause problems to those who compete in Call of Duty: Warzone. But Raven didn’t stop there, since
the last patch notes was updated, which allowed us to learn that the MG 82 had been nerfed, as it had been announced by the studio less than 24 hours after arrival stake.
We envisioned the MG 82 (BOCW) as a short to medium range light machine gun given its relatively fast maneuverability, mobility and rate of fire. However, she also retained many of the LMG’s traits such as damage profile, bullet speed, and magazine size, while having negligible recoil. These factors combined created one of the most dominant weapons on Verdansk. Don’t be fooled by the magnitude of these changes. Magazine damage and rate of fire are always front and center, so we expect the MG 82 to remain viable.
New MG 82 stats
- Maximum damage reduced from 30 to 29
- Minimum damage reduced from 28 to 27
- Maximum damage range reduced by 20%
- Headshot multiplier reduced from 1.3 to 1.2
- Upper chest shot multiplier increased from 1.1 to 1
- Ends shot multiplier increased from 1 to 0.9
- Increased vertical and horizontal recoil
In parallel, Raven Software is studying various avenues that could lead to the introduction of “fair” and “responsive” means in order to fight against Silence of Death, a capacity that makes it possible to make the sound of footsteps disappear. The studio is moving cautiously on the matter, as it could throw several other aspects of the game off balance. A solution seems to be holding the line, but we will have more information shortly.
