Some adults in Canada have some fun ideas for Halloween, as evidenced by this information noted by our West French colleagues from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Local police said on Wednesday, November 2, that they had taken into custody a 63-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman. They are suspected of distributing sweets containing cannabis. Specifically, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main psychoactive molecule in cannabis. They are charged with thirteen counts, including for distributing marijuana to minors and endangering the lives of others.

According to the police, who launched an investigation, they were collected by a dozen children aged 6 to 16 years.

“As a parent, I am devastated by what happened,” Winnipeg police officer Dani McKinnon said at a press conference. “I, as a police officer, unfortunately, am not surprised,” she said sadly, urging parents to be careful about the maintenance of their children’s crops.
