Cannabis, guns, fake cigarettes and money: Huge traffic eliminated in Essonne

212 kg of cannabis resin, more than 300,000 euros in cash, weapons, two cars and 1,500 counterfeit cigarette cartridges: significant confiscation.

And this is the result of nine months of investigations carried out by the Palaiseau Investigation Brigade (Essonne) with the support of the Île-de-France Surveillance and Surveillance Group (GOSIF) and after the discovery of a drug import network by a company of the departmental gendarmerie of Palaiseau.

11 arrests

On October 6 and 7, 2022, a massive legal operation was finally organized at 25 different sites with the support of GIGN and eight dog teams.

Then 11 people were arrested and brought before the investigating judge on Monday 10 October. All were then charged, including six in pre-trial detention.
