When you have trouble breathing, such as a cough, nasal congestion, or a sore throat, these symptoms make it difficult to sleep. In addition, seasonal allergies are associated with poor sleep quality, resulting in snoring or constant waking up in the middle of the night.

Washing your bed sheets regularly will not only keep them fresh, but will also help you sleep better. “Buy a good mattress pad that keeps dust and allergens out,” agrees Alison Baretta, editor of Tom’s Guide magazine, “and wash your sheets regularly, especially if you have pets that love to lounge on your bed.”

Get air purification
To eliminate pollutants, one of the best air purifiers should make a noticeable difference in your home. “An air purifier can be incredibly helpful if you want to improve the air quality in your bedroom, and studies have shown that having plants in the bedroom can improve our sleep,” says Wilson.

What to look for when buying an air purifier
