Carphone Warehouse reveals all the details of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro E! News

We can’t really say we’re surprised at this point – the Pixel 6 duo has leaked again. This time, it was Carphone Warehouse that took the plunge when the retailer posted the pages for both models. They’ve taken them apart now, but not before Evan Blass saw them. Here’s everything you might want to know about Google’s upcoming phones ahead of its October 19 announcement.

We’ll start with the Pixel 6 Pro. It runs on Google’s first custom chipset. Previously, the company designed an imaging chip, but it was not an integrated design. The Google Tensor chipset, as it’s called, has AI hardware on the device to speed up features like Night Sight, Portrait Mode, and the new Magic Eraser (more on that in a bit). It is optimized for energy efficiency, but manages to be 80% faster than the Snapdragon 765G in the Pixel 5.

The Pro model boasts the most advanced camera ever seen on a Google phone. Cela begins for the main module without the capteur 50 MP is beaucoup plus larger than the minuscule capteur 1 / 2,55 ″ à l’intérieur du Pixel 5. It will capture 150% of the lumière in plus, which will be an aubaine pour les photos at night.

Also, the telephoto lens is back. This offers a 4x optical magnification, which can be magnified to 20x with Super Res Zoom. There is not much about the ultra-wide camera other than that it will have a 12 MP sensor. The selfie camera itself will be quite wide with a 94º field of view (in RAW mode, probably before lens correction).

Now for Magic Eraser – It’s an artificial intelligence tool that removes unwanted people and objects from your photo. This will be most useful in busy tourist areas where you can’t get the place to yourself. There’s also Face Unblur, which recovers blurry photos by restoring the subject’s face.

The Pixel 6 Pro will support a 30W charge via USB-C, reaching 50% in 30 minutes (30W charger will be sold separately). Fast 23W wireless charging and battery sharing are also supported.

The screen will be a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO panel with a variable refresh rate from 10 Hz to 120 Hz. It will be coated with Gorilla Glass Victus, the entire phone will benefit from dust and water resistance.

Security will be a key feature of the phone with the new Titan M2 chip, a sequel to the Titan M that was introduced with the Pixel 3 series. To help you fight new attacks, Google will provide 5 years of security updates.

Other flagship features include offline translations in 55 languages. You can point the camera at a panel to translate it or translate the subtitles for a podcast. The At a Glance feature will display relevant information for upcoming events, such as your flight ticket. The Pixels will ship with the new Android 12, although some features are exclusive to Google.

Finally, some accessories. Of course, there is the 30W USB-C charger. The Pixel Stand Wireless Charger can turn your phone into a hub that can control smart devices and a photo frame that displays photos from Google Photos. There is also a translucent protective sleeve made from more than 30% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Let’s move on to the smaller Pixel 6. It will also work with the Google Tensor chipset paired with the Titan M2 security chip. The phone will feature the same main 50 MP and 12 MP ultra-wide cameras, but will lack the telephoto module.

The screen will measure 6.4 inches and will be a normal OLED. It will have a high refresh rate, but it doesn’t look like an LTPO panel. It will still be covered in Gorilla Glass Victus and the phone gets an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The same accessories are available for the smaller Pixel 6, although wireless charging is slightly slower: 21W.

The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will be released on October 19, but we have to warn you that they will only be available in 8 countries, so getting one will depend on where you live. The smaller Pixel 6 is expected to start at $ 650.
