Commonwealth Games: A spectacular crash on the track by Matt Walls, who landed in public on his bike.

Englishman Matt Walls and several other riders were involved in a spectacular crash during the track cycling competition at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday in Birmingham, organizers say. The rider and his bike flew over the railing and landed on top of the spectators.

Matt Walls crashed along with several other riders in a scratch tournament. The British Cycling Federation added that the 24-year-old Olympic champion had to be treated at the Lee Valley VeloPark for 40 minutes before being taken to the hospital “as a precaution”. The spectators also suffered.
