On March 26, Hinterland announced the launch of Hinterland’s Social Distancing Fundraiser, an operation to fight the Covid-19.
The heart of this initiative was The Long Dark, temporarily sold for € 9.99 on Steam. Then, Hinterland collects profits from sales, in order to donate them to United Nations aid fund. In total, $ 194,619 was raised over this period. Raphael van Lierop, CEO and Founder of Hinterland, said on this occasion:
In the face of this global pandemic, we all need to do our part to support each other, and it’s a time when the game studios and experiences we create can make a real difference in people’s lives. We are proud to be able to donate 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser and to join other world famous brands in the fight against this terrible virus.
