Covid-19: Morocco’s air borders to open from 15 June

In particular, two lists of countries with different access rules were compiled. List A includes “all countries with positive indicators “, including the European Union, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. List B applies to 74 countries with “scatter of options or lack of accurate statistics of the epidemiological situation “including India, Algeria, Argentina or South Africa.

All citizens will not be accommodated in the same boat. Travelers arriving from List A countries, whether Moroccans or not, must have a vaccination certificate and / or have a negative PCR result in less than 48 hours. Individuals from countries included in List B must have exclusive permits, a negative PCR result of less than 48 hours, and undergo 10 days of medical isolation thereafter. Both lists will be updated “regularly at least twice a month as needed“, The message says.

This decision is in addition to the decisions made by the kingdom in recent days. In fact, Morocco decided to loosen several restrictions related to Covid-19: the introduction of a vaccination pass allowing travel abroad, travel without restrictions at the national level and after a night curfew from 20:00 to 23:00 or even late opening of restaurants (23:00 ). The authorities also allowed the resumption of collective prayers. Cinemas and theaters, as well as public swimming pools, have reopened after nearly fifteen months of closure.

In addition, Moroccans living abroad will be able to return to Morocco by sea from the ports of Sete in France and Genoa in Italy from 15 June with a negative PCR test on board and another test carried out at the border.
