COVID-19: Multiple Notifications of Infection in the Acadian Peninsula

The Public Health Service has issued a series of notices about the potential impact of COVID-19 at several businesses on the Akadskiy Peninsula.

There are currently 10 active cases, two of which were announced on Tuesday, in Site 6, which includes the Bathurst and Akad Peninsula districts.

Here are the target companies:

May 29 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Rossi Shippagan (231, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)
May 28 from 16:00 to 18:00 – Cantine Pokemouche (11449, line 11 in Pokemouche)
May 28 from 10:00 to 13:00 – Pizza Amy Lamèque (10, rue du Ruisseau in Lameque)
May 28 from 8.00 to 12.00 – Service Gauvin (113, chemin Haut-Lamèque in Haut-Lamèque)
May 28 from noon to 1:00 pm – Metro (225, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)
May 28 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm – Tim Hortons (225, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)
May 27 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm – Needs (135, route 1 in Shippagan)
May 27 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Shoppers Drug Mart (229, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)
May 27 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm – Caisse Populaire (229, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)
May 27 from 11:00 to 13:00 – Guardian Pharmacy (226, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)
May 26 from noon to 1:00 pm – Metro (225, JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan)

If you have been to any of these locations on the dates and times shown, watch for COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of potential exposure.

Even if you are asymptomatic, health authorities strongly recommend that you get tested by completing a test request online or by calling 811.

For the next 14 days, stay away from vulnerable areas such as nursing homes, correctional facilities, and shelters.
