Of this number, almost half (765) are people aged 59 and under. The situation is all the more alarming since 30 to 59 people make up at least 675 of these 765 hospitalizations. However, the 60-69 age group has been hit hardest, with 375 hospitalized in the last month.
The intensive care unit was also not rosy, where 396 patients were admitted. Within this category, the most affected group continues to be people between the ages of 60 and 69, with 126 patients. Of the 100 people admitted to the intensive care unit, people between 50 and 59 years old are the second most affected age group.
In the same April, 237 people died due to coronavirus infection. 74 of them were people between the ages of 80 and 89.
The youngest are not spared the virus either: about thirty people aged 19 and younger were hospitalized. Twenty of them were under 9 years old. One person aged 10 to 19 died, three children aged 9 and younger were hospitalized in intensive care.
