COVID-19 | Three years in prison for a pharmacist spoiled by vaccines

(Washington) A vaccine-skeptic American pharmacist was sentenced to three years in prison for pleading guilty to deliberately spoiling hundreds of doses of coronavirus vaccine, the Justice Department said Tuesday.

Steven Brandenburg, 46, “deliberately removed” vials of Moderna vaccine from their refrigerator at the hospital where he worked in Wisconsin, North, according to a ministry statement.

The pharmacist was also ordered to pay the hospital $ 83,800 in compensation.

In December, he removed a box of vials from two night shifts and left them in the refrigerator for several hours before putting them back for intake the next day.

A total of 57 people received doses of the tainted vaccine, according to the statement.

“Deliberately trying to spoil vaccine doses during a national health emergency is a serious crime,” said Brian Boynton, acting deputy attorney general in the ministry’s civil affairs division.

Stephen Brandenburg, who admitted to being a conspirator, believed that the COVID-19 vaccine was dangerous to humans, could harm them and alter their DNA.

The vaccine from the American laboratory Moderna, like the American-German vaccine Pfizer-BioNTech, is based on the use of messenger RNA, a new method of training the immune system to fight the virus. More than 124 million doses of Moderna vaccine have been administered in the United States.
