Cryptocurrency wallet at the heart of the hack

l“The Slope mobile app, known as the Solana blockchain-based crypto asset management wallet, was hacked, resulting in the theft of around 6 million euros.

The Solena blockchain has been hacked by Slope, a cryptocurrency wallet available on mobile devices. More than 8,000 wallets were affected, totaling about 6 million euros.

Thus, hacking will be carried out using the private keys of Slope wallets. A cryptocurrency wallet is software that stores private and public keys so that the user can make transactions. Public keys are used for transactions while private keys are used as an identifier or signature.

So this type of hack could come from dormant wallets given to a third party, or from sharing a private key.
