Not long ago, The Colonists was announced for PlayStation 4. The city-building strategy game, starring a line of self-cloning robots, was first unveiled last month, and we now have a release date for the console port. You’ll be setting up a peaceful planet on PS4 starting May 4, 2021.
The main game will allow you to build structures and roads, raise livestock, and craft all kinds of useful things from natural resources. You will slowly build an idyllic robot city and also engage in military operations against rival settlers. A Sandbox mode also lets you play freely, and there are speed-run-style challenges to complete if you want to. Regarding the console port, a press release tells us that the controls have been reworked, as has the user interface, so hopefully that translates into a decent experience on a controller.
