Cyberpunk 2077: Microsoft adds warning message and offers refund

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles will have been eventful, between repeated bugs and the quality of the graphics which are sometimes very limited, there is no doubt that it will be remembered.

Faced with user complaints, development studio CDProjekt Red announced a full refund. A decision taken unilaterally which was not very well received by Sony since the group refused to reimburse the players. “ Unless the information comes from Sony, you cannot consider it legitimate. The publisher can say what he wants, it doesn’t mean it’s true“Said a customer service advisor. To complete this disaster scenario, Cyberpunk 2077 has also been removed from PlayStation Store …

Refund and warning message

On the Microsoft side, the response is more measured. Users can get a refund for a recently purchased game and conditions have been relaxed specially for Cyberpunk 2077: “To ensure our players have the best possible Xbox experience, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to people who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 from the Microsoft Store, until further notice.“.

The game is also still available on the online store, but a warning message has been added to alert players to possible bugs: “users may experience performance issues when playing the game on Xbox One consoles until it gets updated“. In this regard, the first fixes are being deployed and other important updates will arrive at the beginning of the year and in February.
