CD Projekt fixed a number of bugs by deploying patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 is not all good for consoles. While the PS4 Pro has a better framerate, this is not necessarily the case with the Xbox Series X. The graphics have also deteriorated.
Last week, CD Projekt deployed Cyberpunk 2077’s huge patch 1.2. If the astronomical length of the release note can make you smile, we have to admit that it is the minimum to run the game correctly on all platforms. And, indeed, PC gamers are finally getting an acceptable version of the cursed title, although they weren’t the most to be pitied on the subject.
We have revisited the subject several times, it is the console players who were the big losers with the release of Cyberpunk 2077. The game was, until recently, properly unplayable in its PS4 and Xbox One versions. The expectations were therefore high with regard to this patch 1.2. It must be recognized that the improvements are there. Unfortunately, some problems still remain to be deplored, when new ones have not clearly appeared.
PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions of Cyberpunk 2077 still lagging behind
Via a video posted on YouTube by Digital Foundry, we can see the effects of the patch on the console versions of the game. The first observation is quite positive: Cyberpunk 2077 is now a little more fluid on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, with a slight advantage for the first. However, this improvement is not due to chance. To achieve this performance, developers had to lower the level of detail of the graphics, and this, on several elements of the decor.

This state of affairs could have been easily accepted by the players, if the FPS rate was not always so unstable. On Xbox One X, the worst version of all, the framerate regularly drops from 30 to 25 FPS, and vice versa. Worse yet, PS4 Pro gamers can expect a few crashes from time to time, where the error did not appear before installing the game. Meanwhile, CD Projekt persists and signs about the reliability of the game on last-gen consoles.
