Cyberpunk 2077 will get anime content, new missions, weapons and more

The next episode of Night City Wire is just around the corner, and CD Projekt RED is starting to outline some of the new things coming to Cyberpunk 2077 in the future. The Polish studio will take advantage of the premiere of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime to fill the video game with content. The developer announced this in a post on Instagram, which you can see below.

We’re talking to Miles Toast and Patrick Mills about all the new features coming to Cyberpunk 2077 in the next update, including new Edgerunner-inspired content, as well as quests, new weapons, and new features. They don’t mention anything about the announcement of the first major expansion, which is already in full development. In any case, there is still energy in the neon lights of Night City for a while.

Game in development

Cyberpunk 2077 went on sale at the end of 2020 amid a hurricane of controversy. Despite what was promised, the game debuted with serious performance issues, especially on previous generation machines. Due to this situation, the release of the native versions of the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5 is delayed – they are already available – as well as paid expansions. Gradually, the problems were solved, and new game features and options were added.

Problems with the release of the video game had a direct impact on CD Projekt, both in terms of its reputation and market value. Thus, according to Business Insider Poland, the developer has lost 75% of its value, despite the fact that the exact figures are not made public. According to this information, the creators of Dying Light 2: Stay Human (Techland) have become the most influential Polish video game company.

In this news, you can find out what time and how to watch the new episode of Night City Wire, which will also offer new details about the Netflix anime.
