Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox refund policy ends in July

The refund policy of Microsoft with regard to Cyberpunk 2077 will arrive at his term next month.

Microsoft has quietly updated its reimbursement conditions for purchases of digital games in which Cyberpunk 2077 is a part. Xbox extended its refund policy for the game last December to allow anyone who purchased the game to get a full refund for the game. This refund policy is will end on July 6.

“The team at CD Projekt Red continue to work hard to improve the overall Cyberpunk 2077 experience for Xbox gamers and have made a significant number of updates. […] As a result, Microsoft will return to its standard refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 on July 6 for purchases made this day and beyond, ”reads Microsoft’s digital games refund section.

According to Microsoft, “all sales of digital games are considered to be recorded,” but when players request a refund for a digital game, the company “takes into account a variety of factors such as date of purchase, date output, and use of the product ”, so nothing is lost yet if you want a refund.

Microsoft had extended its reimbursement policy for Cyberpunk 2077 due to a catastrophic launch affecting gamers.

“To ensure that every gamer can have the experience they expect on Xbox, we will extend our current refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who has purchased a digital copy of Cyberpunk 2077 from the Microsoft Store,” wrote Xbox Support on Twitter in December. “While we know that the developers of CD Projekt Red have worked hard to sell Cyberpunk 2077 under extremely special circumstances, we also realize that some gamers have been unhappy with the current experience on the older-generation console.”

So it looks like Microsoft is pretty happy with the fixes CD Projekt Red made to Cyberpunk 2077 since the game’s refund policy ends next month.

This news comes just after Sony announced the game’s return to the PS Store following the game’s withdrawal for many months last year due to performance issues on PS4. CD Projekt Red then explained that the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 would be improved “in the year”.
