DE Battlefield 2042’s ‘Open BETA’ is already dated

According to DICE, “the world will never be the same again” after Battlefield 2042, the game that returns to the heat of WWII and the birth of the Special Operations Forces.

Battlefield 2042 is an ambitious project, which we’ve been following closely for the past few months, and it’s just around the corner.

However, before a conflict breaks out across the digital planet, an open beta for Xbox One, Xbox Series X will be available on October 8 | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. EA Play members who pre-order the game can even access it two days early, on October 6.

The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will feature Conquest Mode on the Orbital Map, which was introduced earlier in the game trailer. Gamers on next-gen PC and consoles will have access to first-hand experience of epic new battles for up to 128 players. (64 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).

During the beta, participants will have the opportunity to enter the iconic brand of the All-Out Warfare franchise as one of four specialists, each with their own unique styles, specialties and traits.

Players can wear the uniform of Boris, a Russian engineer equipped with an SG-36; Casper, an expert in camouflage and ranged attacks; Falck, a German doctor specializing in support; and Mackay, a nomadic Canadian billboard that is outfitted with an extremely useful hook.

Located in Kourou, French Guiana, this Battlefield 2042 orbital map allows players to race against the clock in hostile conditions while fighting around the site of an impending missile launch. The areas found on this map include the assembly building, the launch pad, and the driveway that connects the two.

During a game of Conquest, players will experience iconic Battlefield dynamic maps with an automated rocket launch sequence, ziplines crossing between lightning towers, vehicle battles in bad weather conditions, an unexpected tornado event that changes the flow of the battle and more.

Battlefield 2042 is now available for pre-order and is scheduled to launch on November 19 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5.
