Dell Technologies sells RSA to Symphony Technology Group for more than $ 2 billion

It’s official, Dell sold RSA to Symphony Technology Group for 2,075
billions of dollars. A way for the American giant to rationalize its
portfolio and deleveraging. RSA was one of EMC’s assets including
Dell made the acquisition in 2016 for $ 60 billion. EMC had
himself bought the cybersecurity software publisher in 2006 for 2.1
billions of dollars.

RSA has 12,500 clients covering sectors ranging from
banks to manufacturers of consumer goods to which it supplies
threat detection and response solutions, identity management and
access as well as fraud prevention. Dell says sale includes
RSA Archer, RSA NetWitness Platform, RSA SecureID, RSA Fraud and Risk
Intelligence as well as the RSA conference.

The transaction will further simplify our business and
our product portfolio. It also allows Dell Technologies to
focus on our strategy to integrate automated security and
smart in infrastructure, platforms and devices so
