Developer makes Apple CarPlay work in Tesla

Tesla doesn’t support Apple CarPlay, which is one of the most requested features that Tesla owners want in their car, as well as Apple Music.

Now one developer has managed to get Apple CarPkay to work in his Tesla, Michal Gapinski shared a video on Twitter about the software running in the car,

He used the Tesla car browser to run CarPlay, Apple Maps and even Apple Music in the car, you can see it in action in the tweet below.

This was done using Google’s custom build of Android running on a Raspberry Pi with an LTE modem as well as a WiFi hotspot, the car browser connects to the Raspberry Pi and then displays the CarPlay interface, it certainly looks interesting from the video. . Tee

At the moment, the project appears to be in its early stages, with the developer planning to release it after more work has been done on it. Perhaps Elon Musk should hire him to bring CarPlay to Tesla vehicles.
