Digital transformation of the business: a “tailor-made” tool

It is in this context that the French company TimeTonic and its “no code” app of the same name, launched in 2016, landed in Montreal last September.

“Montreal is an innovative metropolis with many transformation problems and labor shortages,” says Brahim El Hanafi, general manager of the Canada branch, to justify installing an antenna there. We are also looking to expand into the rest of Canada and the United States, and the city is often cited as a good gateway.”

Presented as a combination of Trello, Excel and a board, the platform, which requires no programming knowledge, puts data at the center of your development, offering different ways to view and process it.

“The goal is for the company to be able to manage everything from TimeTonic, whether it’s their clients, their projects, their contracts, their time sheets or other things,” said Brahim El Hanafi, in an interview with Les Affaires.

Adapt to your workflow

Specifically, TimeTonic is a management interface in which you can create notebooks that are found at the bottom of the workspaces. The tool also offers customizable templates to start the business. Categories range from maintenance to project management, including site monitoring.

The tool allows you to go beyond the simple standard spreadsheet that can be seen when starting a notebook. “It is possible to automate certain processes and the tool is also fully collaborative with the chat option”, specifies the general manager.

You can also add different views to the data, whether in Kanban mode, on a calendar, or by employee, and save it for quick access.

Access rights can also be assigned to maintain some control over notebooks.

To clearly show the potential of the tool and its compatibility with the mobile version, Brahim El Hanafi uses the example of a repair company, although he acknowledges that the tool is suitable for all companies.

“In the notebook you can create intervention tables with the tasks to be carried out, the parts needed for the repair, the assignment to an employee, the customer’s address and others,” he says.

The mobile app, in this case, allows the technician to view the work, add photos of the repair, have the customer sign, and generate an order form.

Each modification is transmitted in real time, but the tool can also be used in offline mode, specifies Brahim El Hanafi. The changes are added automatically when the signal returns.

Automation occurs by pairing the platform with the Zapier tool, which specializes in automation without programming. Brahim El Hanafi takes the example of the purchase order and specifies that with Zapier you can request that for each purchase order generated, a letter be sent to the customer with the document attached.

Why adopt this tool?

“TimeTonic allows you to create a tailored solution that matches the way you work,” the CEO boasts.

The French company also gives itself the mandate to make companies autonomous after one or two days of training on the tool. “We want them to be able to do everything on their own without feeling tied to the publisher,” says Brahim El Hanafi.
