Dolmen: When Dark Souls meets Dead Space, release scheduled for 2022

The least we can say is that Dolmen has come a long way. Project initially launched via a crowdfunding campaign in 2018, the game from Brazilian studio Massive Work has passed under the leadership of new publisher Prime Matter. It presents new images and confirms its arrival next year on almost all platforms.

Souls in space?

Initially planned for 2019, Dolmen has therefore greatly revised its ambitions upwards. However, it remains a playable third-person action RPG that draws, as the developers themselves say, from the mechanics of Dark Souls. Since we will be immersed in space with distressing environments, it is also difficult not to feel a little atmosphere. Dead space.

It must be said that the influences to the works of Lovecraft are there and the players will have to advance in a hostile context and face many bosses. The story is still vague but the plot will revolve around a mysterious crystal called Dolmen. The title wants to put the emphasis on its atmosphere and its Dantesque creatures.

Dolmen will release in 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series and has already confirmed a physical version.
