E3 2021: Microsoft announces Xbox & Bethesda Showcase Extended this Thursday

In the form of a discussion with the developers, Microsoft’s second showcase will look back on the next upcoming titles on Xbox consoles.

After a most detailed conference broadcast this Sunday as part of E3, Microsoft is keen to extend the fun as much as possible. With this in mind, a second conference, called Xbox & Bethesda Showcase Extended, will take place this Thursday June 17 at 7 p.m. French time. Just like the first one, you will be able to watch it via the company’s Youtube channel.

On the program are scheduled discussions with the developers of the various first-party studios, including Double Fine, Rare, Obsidian and Ninja Theory. Side announcements, it seems that nothing new is planned for the moment, simply more details on the next games to come from these studios. We can also imagine that they will talk about the next Psychonauts 2, Grounded or Sea of Thieves A Pirate’s Life, which were all announced at the first conference.

Microsoft breaks records in terms of exclusives

For some, it is also by far the most interesting and important of all of E3 2021. It was in any case factually the most provided since Microsoft presented no less than 30 games, developed by 23 different studios. It is also the largest catalog of exclusives in the history of the manufacturer. Out of 30 games, 27 of them will join the Xbox Game Pass catalog from the day of their release.

This is largely due to the economic strategy of Microsoft, which has chained the acquisitions of studios for several years. The latest, that of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, seems to be the most successful since it will give birth to the exclusives Starfield, or Redfall, a new vampiric title that has seduced more than one, especially since it was the studio’s very last announcement.
