E3 2021: The conference schedule

You will follow E3 on and LeStream, and you want to know when to connect and for which conference? Here is the complete schedule (which will be updated as and when).

E3 2021 (of which is an official partner) will take place remotely, from Saturday June 12 to Tuesday 15. However, like every year, events will take place outside of E3 as well. Feedback on the conferences to follow during the summer (all dates and times are displayed in French time, editor’s note).

Indie Live Expo

June 5, 11 a.m.

Dedicated to indie games, the Indie Live Expo consists of a live broadcast that is expected to last less than five hours. Last year, 150 independent games were presented there. This year, we are promised to exceed the bar of 300 games presented at this event on the sidelines of E3. The event will take place in several parts, with first the Indie Live Premiere (games chosen by a jury and revelations on upcoming games), then the Indie Picks (a selection of little-known and already available titles ) and finally the Indie Waves (15 second clips of current and upcoming games).

The Guerrilla Collective

June 5, 5 p.m.

The Guerrilla Collective takes place before E3, and will feature four conferences in one week. The Guerrila Collective Showcase will take place on June 5 at 5 p.m., followed by the Black Voices in Gaming at 7 p.m. On June 17, another Guerrilla Collective Showcase will take place at 5 p.m., before closing the event with the 7 p.m. Wholesome Direct, where 75 games will be presented ! We will find – among others – actors of indie video game. Last year, important games like Baldur’s Gate III and Disco Elysium were shown there. Watch the event on the collective’s Twitch channel.

Summer Game Fest

June 10, 7 p.m.

Running throughout the summer, the Summer Game Fest is not officially a part of E3 2021, although it begins a few days before. Presented by Geoff Keighley, it will actually be a succession of conferences during the summer, on the sidelines of E3. They will begin on June 10, when the last is due to take place in August, during Gamescom. If the details of the conferences are not known, we can attend in particular the panels Days of the Devs, giving developers time to present their projects in detail. Many publishers and builders will participate in the Summer Game Fest including Sony PlayStation, which will not however be present at E3.

Tribeca Games Spotlight

June 11, 9 p.m.

Tribeca is obviously a film festival first and foremost, but on the occasion of this E3 2021, the festival is launching the Tribeca Games Spotlight on June 11. For the first time, a selection of games will compete for an award at the 2021 Tribeca Festival, before a live concert highlighting the exceptional soundtrack of Red Dead Redemption II (the Tribeca Film Festival honored LA Noire, another Rockstar, in its official selection of 2011). These games will be in the running to win the inaugural Tribeca Games Award, which will feature “a brand new game that has the potential to elevate art and storytelling in space“. In addition to playable demos in person in New York, Tribeca Games decided to offer fans the chance to test the games remotely, since May 24. The eight games selected to win the inaugural Tribeca Games Award are: Harold Halibut (Slow Bros.), Kena: Bridge of Spirits (Ember Lab), Lost in Random (Zoink Games), NORCO (Geography of Robots), Sand (Shedworks), Signalis (rose-engine), The Big Con (Mighty Yell) and the highly anticipated 12 minutes (Nomada Studio).

IGN Expo

June 11, 10 p.m.

IGN will hold its own E3 “preview” conference, as the American media is once again a partner of the event. We will find there new games and exclusive gameplay videos, as IGN often does. No details on the games presented at the moment.

Devolver Digital Showcase

June 12

For now, the exact time of the broadcast of the conference Devolver is unknown. Year after year, Devolver becomes more and more expected at E3, thanks to crazy, comical and satirical conferences. Last year, the Devolver conference was even labeled “EXPLICIT” on some American sites. We hope again to see actress Mahria Zook play her fictional role of Nina Struthers, executive at Devolver, who does the show at each conference. As for the content, difficult to predict, even if we are clearly waiting for information on Shadow Warrior 3 and Weird West. Already in early access, we should also see more on Phantom Abyss, recently announced for a release in June.

Ubisoft Forward

June 12, 9 p.m.

Each year the conference Ubisoft at E3 is one of the events to watch, as the publisher knows how to put on a show. We usually see music and dance with the annual Just Dance, but also a lot of games. We should see it this year Far Cry 6, of course, but also Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake. We could also learn more about the release of Rainbow Six Quaratine, or the next Assassin’s Creed, unless Ubisoft prefers to highlight the additional content of Valhalla, which has not yet been released in full. Finally, the most dreamers wait revelations about the Star Wars game promised by Ubisoft Massive.

Future Games Show / PC Gaming Show

June 13

This year again, the Future Games Show and the PC Gaming Show are linked to E3, and will take place on June 13 (no schedule yet). The two conferences, which will follow, promise 150 minutes of trailers and announcements. The Future Games Show will present as always both AAA and indie games. This will be the fourth edition, after three Future Games Show bringing together 45 million cumulative viewers. The PC Gaming Show is him, as the name suggests, dedicated to the PC platform. Created in 2015 to bring together designers and builders, software and hardware, the PC Gaming Show gathered 5.9 million viewers during the 2020 edition. We will be able to see both Oculus, AMD and Intel hardware, as well as games. If no announcement has yet been made as to the details of the content, we can in particular expect images and information about games announced earlier in the week.

Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase

June 13, 7 p.m.

For the first time, we are going to have the opportunity to discover what a binding conference looks like Xbox and Bethesda, since the takeover of the publisher by Microsoft. According to the latest rumors, Xbox would have 5 AAA games to present in the conference, including games published by Bethesda. If the more daring (and optimistic) hope to see The Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield, it is more likely to see the reboot of Fable in pictures, the next Forza Motorsport, or the RPG ofObsidian, Avowed. On the Bethesda side, we’re waiting for Deathloop, Arkane Lyon’s next game, probably announcements for Fallout 76, and perhaps Ghostwire Tokyo, which is due out in October. Announced by a teaser last January, we could also see a little more of the game Indiana Jones announced by Bethesda.

Limited Run Games # LRG3

June 14, 10 p.m.

Limited Run Games, which produces physical versions of digital games and re-releases of classics, announced a new # LRG3 conference just like they did last year, live on their Twitch channel. This year is twenty-five titles that should be presented in physical versions by Limited Run. They also announced to offer gifts every fifteen minutes during their live. We don’t know which games will be shown, except Zombies Ate my Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol, which will be released on June 29.

Steam Neo Fest

June 16 – June 22

Formerly called the Steam Game Festival, the Steam Neo Fest (Next Fest, in original version) is the occasion for Valve to highlight certain titles from its Steam platform. Throughout the event, hundreds of demos will be available for free for all Steam users. A privilege, when we know that Steam sometimes presents demo games several months before their release. In addition, several live conferences will follow from June 16 to 22, highlighting different studios and different games.

EA Play Live

22nd of July

EA Play has been out of E3 for several years, but this time it’s particularly out of date from a time point of view! If usually the event takes place at the same time or slightly before, this time it is more than a month after the end of E3 2021, that the EA Play will take place. As every year, we will find there FIFA 22, Madden NFL 22, but we’ll add F1 2021 this year which will be released a few days before the conference. We also hope to see Battlefield 6. It would also be possible to see the announcement of a new Star Wars game fromEA, and why not an unexpected surprise?

Nintendo and Square Enix will be present at E3 2021, but have not yet communicated any date about their conferences. We will update this page as soon as new information is revealed on the conference schedule.

Then, you can follow Gamescom 2021 from August 25 to 29, then the Tokyo Game Show from September 30 to October 3. A summer and a back-to-school season which promises to be busy, and which will be followed on!
