Combining protection, durability and style, Joplins designers have returned to crowdfunding a new range of ecofriendly sunglasses called Shiva, crafted from wood and cotton. With ninelayer polarized lens technology, Send goggles are built to last and provide a comfortable fit for everyone. Perfect for any occasion, Shiva sunglasses allow you to be ecofriendly without sacrificing your style.
Sponsor upfront contributions are now available for the interesting project from around £79 to £65 (depending on current exchange rates), offering a significant discount of around 33% off the retail price, while Indiegogo crowdfunding is underway.
“Our goal is to develop sustainable eyewear manufacturing and make an impact by replacing conventional materials such as metal and plastic used in sunglasses with sustainable, sustainable, lightweight, durable and biodegradable frames. Shiva has a design that suits every face shape. This makes it great for everyone: boys, girls and everyone in between, from moms and dads to adventurous grandpas! We have the perfect design for YOU!”
If the Shiva campaign successfully raises the required target and production goes smoothly, worldwide shipping is expected to take place around August 2022. To learn more about Shiva’s ecofriendly sunglasses project, watch the promotional video below.
“Bioacetate is made from cellulose, the fibers of which are very strong and difficult to break. This is what guarantees that even after many years of use, frames made of bioacetate will not lose their shape and structure. Made from cotton and wood, the material undergoes a fifteenstep process, as a result of which it becomes the socalled bioacetate. This process ensures not only that the Shiva are highly resistant to impacts and scratches, but also that they can withstand extreme temperatures.”
