‘Elden Ring’ reveals new information about his playing environment

After a long wait from fans of the “Dark Souls” saga and other games from developer From Software, in January 2022, “Elden Ring” will finally go on sale, a highly anticipated game that has a collaboration with the author of epic fantasy George RR Martin, who was in charge of creating his world and the characters who inhabit it.

Following the reveal of its first official trailer, Bandai Namco has slowly started to reveal some of the elements that will shape the player experience in this new dark fantasy title, recently anticipating new details about its narrative and gaming environments.

The new official information update for “Elden Ring” notes that players will be able to use the weather, setting and time of day to their advantage, as well as a variety of abilities that span dozens, some of which that FromSoftware fans find a similarity with “Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice”.

This information confirms the statements of the creative director Hidetaka Miyazaki, who assures that “Elden Ring” will have a more “manageable” difficulty compared to the other titles of his development team. It is also provided in the story of the game that after the destruction of what is called “the source of the Erdtree”, its fragments are claimed by the demigod son of Queen Marika the Eternal.

In “Elden Ring”, the player must claim the noble title of Elden, which was promised to him by means of a legend. As in previous FromSoftware titles, there are some non-playable characters that will act as guides for the player, offering important story details.

It has also been confirmed that the player will be able to use “esoteric spells”, similar to the magic system of “Dark Souls”. “Elden Ring” will be available from January 21, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
