Eleven arrests linked to organized cannabis trafficking from Hasselt Prison

Last Wednesday, the police intercepted a transport from Spain with 20 kilograms of cannabis in Liege.

Several searches were carried out in cooperation with the special units of the federal police and the canine brigade, in particular in the cells of the three detainees in Hasselt. AIDS, cannabis, cocaine, and GHB were found in a house in Zonhoven in amounts suspected of being illegal.

11 people were detained, including three detainees, five cars and several mobile phones were confiscated.

On Thursday, one of those searches resulted in eight suspects (six men and two women) being brought before an investigating judge. They were all placed under arrest warrants and taken into custody.
